In today’s world, the growing complexity of governance and the increasing demand by citizens for effective and transparent service delivery underscore the need for well-trained public sector professionals. The Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) programme in Public Administration is therefore designed to equip students with the knowledge, competencies, and ethical values required for effective participation in public affairs.

- At least five (5) credit passes (including Government, English Language and Mathematics) obtained in not more than two (2) sittings in the General Certificate of Education (GCE), Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSCE), National Examination Council (NECO), or in the case of foreign students, their equivalents.
- JAMB Examination results with a minimum score of 140 points and above.
- In addition to the above requirements, candidates applying for the direct entry (DE) admission are required to possess an A-Level qualification such as NCE, IJMB, GCE A-Level, OND, ND or in the case of foreign students, their equivalents. A minimum of merit is required for NCE, 6 points for IJMB or GCE A-Level, and lower credit for OND.

To graduate with B.Sc. Public Administration, students must have:
- Obtained a minimum of 120 units for candidates who entered the university through UTME.
- Obtained a minimum of 90 units for candidates who entered the university through direct entry;
- Passed all compulsory courses in the programme and required courses;
- Spend minimum of eight semesters and maximum of twelve semesters for UTME candidates;
- Spend minimum of six semesters and maximum of ten semesters for direct entry students, and
- Fulfilled other university and faculty requirements for graduation with bachelors’ degree.
