About The Department
The Business Administration department was established in the 2022/2023 academic session under the faculty of management and social sciences. The programme was created to meet the growing demand for skilled business leaders and entrepreneurs in Nigeria. It started with the initial intake of 16 students and has grown significantly. The curriculum was designed in full compliance with the NUC’s Core Curriculum Minimum Academic Standards (CCMAS). The programme aims to provide a robust foundation in Business Principles, ethics, and practical skills, fostering critical thinking and problem-solving abilities in students.

The mission of the Department of Business Administration is to provide high-quality teaching, research, and community engagement in business and management through:
- delivery of rigorous, student-centred programmes grounded in sound management theory and practice;
- development of entrepreneurial, leadership, and problem-solving skills relevant to Nigeria’s dynamic business environment;
- promotion of ethical standards, good corporate governance, and social responsibility in private and public sector organizations; and
- advancement of research and industry collaboration that support innovation, productivity, and sustainable national development.
To be a centre of excellence in business and management education, research, and innovation, producing ethically responsible, entrepreneurial, and globally competitive graduates who contribute to sustainable economic and organizational development in Nigeria and beyond.
