Department Of Chemistry

The Department of Chemistry is one of the foundational academic units of Northwest University, Sokoto, which was established in 2022/2023 academic session. The university was created to expand access to higher education and promote academic excellence in Nigeria, and the Department of Chemistry was envisioned as a critical component of its Faculty of Computing and Science. A robust undergraduate curriculum was developed to align with global standards and the needs of the Nigerian community. The curriculum was designed to cover the main branches of chemistry: Organic, Inorganic, Physical, and Analytical Chemistry, ensuring students received a well-rounded theoretical and practical education.
