This followed the donation of fourteen science journals to the University by the Federal University Gusau.
The science journals titled, International journal of science for global sustainability (IJSGS) were presented to the management of northwest university sokoto by the Vice Chancellor of the federal university Gusau, professor Ma,azu Abubakar Gusau, at a briefing meeting held in the office of the Vice Chancellor Northwest University Sokoto.
Presenting the books, professor Ma’azu Abubakar of federal university Gusau said the donation was aimed at encouraging research on science among lecturers and students of the northwest university.
Professor Ma,azu Abubakar assured of the federal university Gusau readiness to improving academic collaboration with sister higher institutions of learning across the Country and even beyond.
Respond, The Vice Chancellor of the northwest university sokoto, Professor Ahmad Maigari Ibrahim appreciated the federal university Gusau for the donation of the books.
Professor Maigari described the gesture as a welcome development, as it would enhance relationship between the two educational institutions there by ensuring academic excellence among them.
The Vice Chancellor said the University would ensure judicious utilization of the science journals among it’s lecturers and students.
The presentation of the books was witnessed by the registrar of northwest university, Umar Musa Garun Babba, Dean faculty of science, Dean faculty of Education, students affairs as well as head of the library among others.
