Brief History
The Faculty of Education at Northwest University, Sokoto, established in 2022/2023 academic session, is dedicated to promoting inclusive, innovative, and globally competitive education. As a foundational faculty, it prepares professionals equipped to meet modern educational and information needs.
The Faculty comprises two departments: Special Needs Education and Library and Information Science. The Special Needs Education programme focuses on training educators to support inclusive learning and meet the needs of individuals with disabilities, in line with global best practices. The Library and Information Science department equips students with essential skills in information management, research support, and digital knowledge services.
