Welcome Message from the Founder

Northwest University Sokoto is one of the new private universities been granted license by the National University Commission (NUC). It is in recognition of the importance of education to the citizenry, as a vehicle for rapid and sustainable socio-economic development that made me to establish this citadel of learning here in Sokoto (the Northwest University Sokoto). This I believe will go along in easing the problem of access to qualitative education in Northern Nigeria and beyond. Let me assure you my resolved commitment and that of board of trustees, of this institution, in ensuring your good stay and putting all the state of earth facilities that learning environment of ours requires. Moreover, the university is blessed with versatile Academic and Nonacademic Staff that would support and facilitate in running your undergraduate programme across your respective faculties and departments. I hope that you will have an interesting and worthwhile time at the university.
Northwest University Sokoto, is an enthusiastic innovative institution, its research and teaching align closely to giving you the best learning experience. You are therefore, required to conduct yourself very well, shunt from all actions or activities that would destruct your learning ability and moral values. University environment is a highly civilized set-up, where things are done scientifically, based on set down procedures, rules and regulations. I therefore enjoyed you to be law abiding students at all time, read, comprehends and be guided by this hand book, as it provides guidance on how to obtain information on any given issue/topic whenever the need arises. Admission and graduation requirements, examination regulations and general code of conduct and other notice, have been fully addressed.
